The Office of Sheriff is unique in the Greene County community and the duties of the Office go far beyond the traditional role of “Conservator of the Peace”, extending into many facets of public service including: County Police Services, maintaining the County Jail, providing security in our office buildings, assisting in emergency services, communication systems and serving and executing civil process and victim protection orders for our courts. Therefore the Greene County Legislature calls on all citizens of the county to honor and celebrate the Greene County Sheriff’s office and all of its personnel.

Six students from the Catskill High School music program were selected for the 2020 High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall.

Elisha Clause, Mathew Caro and Grace McCullogh performed with the Mixed Choir, while Deandra Catterson, Isabella Truncale and Ava Higgins performed with the Woman’s Choir. Participation in these Honors Ensembles is limited to the highest-rated high school performers from around the world. Last summer, all six students auditioned for this incredible opportunity, and were all accepted after review by the Honors selection review board. These six Catskill Students spent five days in New York City where they had the opportunity to learn from world-renowned conductors and work with other finalists prior to the February 2, 2020 performance at Carnegie Hall.
