Greene County Posts Lowest Unemployment Rate Since October 2007

June statistics released by the New York State Department of Labor show that the employment rate in Greene County, NY is at its lowest point since before the Great Recession.  The jobless rate stands at 4.3%, down from 5.4% in June of 2015. The 1.1% year over year decrease is the 3rd best in New York State.

Greene County, NY is comprised of the town of Ashland, town of Athens, town of Cairo, town of Catskill, town of Coxsackie, town of Durham, town of Greenville, town of Halcott, town of Hunter, town of Jewett, town of Lexington, town of New Baltimore, town of Prattsville, and town of Windham.
