Immunizations

Greene County Public Health Department provides immunizations for county residents at our Diagnostic & Treatment Center.

  • A list of vaccines recommended for children age 0 –18 is available here.
  • A list of vaccines recommended for adults age 19 – 65+ is available here.

Flu shots are encouraged and available during flu season.

Flu Clinics at Senior Centers have been scheduled for 2023:

  • Jewett Senior Center – Friday, September 29 from 9:30-11am
  • Acra Senior Center – Monday, October 2 from 9:30-11am
  • Coxsackie Senior Center – Tuesday, October 3 from 9:30-11am
  • Rivertown Senior Center, Athens – Wednesday, October 4 from 9:30-11am
  • Robert C Antonelli Senior Center, Catskill – Friday, October 6 from 9:30-11am

Cost of the Senior Flu dose (ages 65+) is $95; cost of the Quadrivalent Flu dose (ages 18-64) is $59.  Greene County Public Health accepts the following insurances:  (non-managed) Medicare, Senior Blue, Blue Shield of NENY, Empire BC/BS, Aetna, CDPHP, Empire Plan (NYSHIP), United Health Care, and Medicaid HMO’s: CDPHP/Fidelis.

Tuberculosis skin tests and fit testing for N-95 masks are also provided by appointment.

All immunizations are given by appointment; please call 518-719-3600 to schedule.

Vaccines for Children

Immunizations for children are available at no cost through the Vaccines for Children Program for those who qualify.

Parents or guardians are required to accompany their child(ren) to each vaccination clinic as parent/guardian signature is required before immunizations can be administered. A previous immunization record for each child is also required.
