Due to current staffing shortages, we are temporarily unable to take NEW patient appointments (with the exception of hospital/correctional facility discharges).  Our Intake Coordination Staff can provide you with a list of alternate providers or place you on a call list for when we resume new patient appointments.

The Greene County Mental Health Center’s physical building is open for visits by appointment only.
Our staff continues to serve the community by providing services remotely via telemedicine and pre-scheduled in-person appointments
  • Many of our appointments will be handled through telemedicine
  • If you are not an active client and you wish to establish services please call 518-622-9163  – Press 6          (WE ARE NOT TAKING NEW PATIENTS AT THIS TIME)
  • Medication refills will be handled through requests to our prescription refill line at 518-622-9163 – Press 3
  • Nursing staff provide medication injections by appointment only
  • If you have an on-premise appointment you will be called the day prior to answer a series of COVID screening questions

 

Psychotherapy, Medication Management, Care Coordination, and Crisis Services continue to be provided remotely and on-premise by appointment only.

It is understandable that given the stress people are experiencing from this COVID-19 outbreak there may be an increased need for mental health services.

Before you go to the Hospital’s Emergency Room, please contact Greene County Mental Health.

We can either help address the concerns you have without going to the hospital and risking exposure for yourself and the hospital staff, or we can help determine if your need is greater than we can handle and then direct you to the appropriate resources.

Greene County Mental Health’s Hours: 

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. (With extended hours to 7 pm on Tuesday & Thursday)
  • Please do not walk into the clinic. Instead, CALL and you will be given an appointment. (Appointment may be remote; by telephone or video if possible).

NYS Office of Mental Health Emotional Support Line: 1-844-863-9314     
The Emotional Support Line provides free and confidential support, helping callers experiencing increased anxiety due to the coronavirus emergency. The Help Line is staffed by volunteers, including mental health professionals, who have received training in crisis counseling.

Who We Are

Greene County Mental Health Center is a community clinic licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health.  We have a full contingent of professional staff including Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, and Psychiatric Nurses.  Our staff members work together to provide a comprehensive system of care for the mental health needs of Greene County residents.

If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency after normal clinic hours, call 518-622-3344 and ask to speak to the Mental Health On-Call Worker.
