The Greene County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) defines the county’s overall emergency management program, including preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery.

The Emergency Plans utilize a Whole Community approach which brings together all levels of government, volunteer, faith-based, community-based, other non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and the public to better prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters – restoring the entire community to pre-disaster conditions as fully and quickly as feasible.

The planning team is led by the Greene County Department of Emergency Services, County Public Safety, County Administration and County Agencies in coordination with the towns of Ashland, Athens, Cairo, Catskill, Coxsackie, Durham, Greenville, Halcott, Hunter, Jewett, Lexington, New Baltimore, Prattsville, Windham, and the villages of Athens, Catskill, Coxsackie, Hunter, Tannersville.

To assist in this effort, we would like to hear from Residents and Businesses alike in Greene County.
