NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

Sealed bids for supplying refuse removal from several Greene County government facilities for the period of January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025, shall be received by the Greene County Legislature until 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at which time they will be opened and publicly read.

All bids must be contained in sealed envelopes clearly marked “BID – REFUSE REMOVAL” and addressed to:

All bids shall be submitted on the official bid forms.  Bid forms are available by emailing a request to werrol@greenecountyny.gov or at the Office of the Acting Clerk at the above address accompanied by the Certificate of Non-Collusion, Bidders and Vendors Acknowledgement, Title VI and, if required, an Authorization to Bid.

Greene County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.

1. All dumpsters shall have locking capability.

 

1. Bidders may bid on any one or more of the locations listed above.

 

1. Certificate of Non-Collusion must accompany bid.

 

1. Corporate bidders shall also submit an Authorization to Bid, executed by the appropriate officer of the corporation.

 

1. Liability/Insurance:

 

1. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all damage caused during installation of dumpsters and/or pickup of refuse, or any other damage caused by the contractor’s personnel or equipment.

 

2. The successful contractor shall furnish to Greene County at the time of execution of contract evidence of insurance, the kinds and amounts of which are as follows:

 

1. Worker’s Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance: A policy or policies providing protection for Employees in the event of job related injuries.

 

1. Motor Vehicle Liability Policies: With the limits of not less than $300,000 for each accident because of bodily injury, sickness or disease, including death at any time, resulting therefrom, sustained by any person caused by accident, and arising out of the ownership, maintenance or use of any motor vehicle and with the limits of $100,000 for damage because of injury to or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, caused by accident and arising out of the ownership, maintenance or use of any motor vehicle.

 

1. General Liability: Including comprehensive form, contractual, premises/completed operations and broad form property insurance with limits not less than:

2025. The contract period shall be from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025.

 

1. Greene County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.

 

1. If the contractor fails to carry out an agreed pickup at any one of the locations set forth in Section A above, it shall forfeit all cost reimbursement from the County otherwise due to it for that location for the full week of the non-performed pickup.
