The Greene County Public Health Department and Emergency Operations Center has completed 82 Large Scale Points of Dispensing (PODs) across our communities. Volunteers contributed over 1,700 hours of their time to make these PODs an exceptional success. As of June 1st, the EOC will no longer be scheduling large-scale PODS, moving to an as-needed basis, but if the situation is urgent, they will reopen at a specific location.
Anyone can find vaccines throughout the county at pharmacies and health care providers. The Greene County Public Health Department also provides COVID-19 vaccines by appointment. Please call 518-719-3600 to schedule an appointment, or find available vaccines in Greene County here: Vaccines.gov
Your second appointment will be scheduled in-person at your vaccination site. You will receive a vaccination card at your first appointment with the date of your second. Greene County Residents vaccinated in PODs will receive Second Doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at the SAME TIME and location of their first inoculation, unless changes are required due to weather delays. Please remember to bring your vaccine card with you to your second dose appointment.
Remember: Both the Phizer & Moderna vaccines require two doses for effectiveness. As Johnson & Johnson vaccines become available, they will only require one dose.
