Public Defender

• Public Defender Clients may pick up applications at the County Building and also may drop off applications to the County Building in addition to mail, email and fax.

The Greene County Public Defender’s Office Mission:

To provide zealous representation to all people in our community who are financially unable to afford counsel.

We defend people who are in danger of being deprived of their liberty interest due to a qualifying criminal accusation, proceeding or family court matter. We strive to ensure that all of our clients receive the highest level of legal services possible.

Our goals are to ensure that our client’s constitutional and statutory rights are protected, that the law is administered without discrimination and disproportionate punishment, and further, that no one who is innocent is wrongfully convicted.
