The Greene County Mental Health Center is Open for Visits by Appointment Only

Unfortunately at this time due to staffing shortages, we are unable to accommodate new clients. If you are already on our waitlist for intake, please know that we are still working to schedule you as openings become available. 

FOR PROVIDERS:  We will continue to schedule hospital, inpatient, and correctional discharges.  

We will continue to reevaluate our availability to accommodate new clients regularly and will update our website when there is a change.

If feel you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency or in crisis, please contact Mobile Crisis at 518-943-5555 or our mental health on-call service during non-business hours at 518-622-3344.

  • **At this time we are not taking new clients**  If you are not an active client and you wish to establish services please call 518-622-9163 and Press 6 to leave a message for a call-back.  Psychotherapy, Medication Management, Care Coordination, and Crisis Services are provided remotely and on-premise by appointment only.
  • If you require a medication refill from one of our providers, please call our prescription refill line at 518-622-9163 and Press 3
  • If you need to leave a message for our billing department please call 518-622-916 and Press 4

Before you go to a Hospital Emergency Room for a mental health-related issue, please contact Greene County Mental Health.  We can either help address the concerns you have without going to the hospital, or we can help determine if your need is greater than we can handle and then direct you to the appropriate resources.

 

Greene County Mental Health’s Hours: 

  • Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. (Extended hours to 7 pm on Tuesday & Thursday)

Who We Are

Greene County Mental Health Center is a community clinic licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health.  We have a full contingent of professional staff including Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, and Psychiatric Nurses.  Our staff members work together to provide a comprehensive system of care for the mental health needs of Greene County residents.

If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency after normal clinic hours, call 518-622-3344 and ask to speak to the Mental Health On-Call Worker.

NYS Office of Mental Health Emotional Support Line: 1-844-863-9314     
The Emotional Support Line provides free and confidential support, helping callers experiencing increased anxiety due to the coronavirus emergency. The Help Line is staffed by volunteers, including mental health professionals, who have received training in crisis counseling.
